What's your pad size? Height/weight?
I made about 10 bridges along the way- if under a pound is the goal I can likely hit that. The current bridge can do a 20x72 pad, but the last size up is closer to 12 ounces I believe and should do a 26" pad. A pad sleeve would add a few ounces. If you want let me know, I could make one for materials and shipping. Or at least run some numbers to give you a weight estimate.
Fair warning though- I am morally opposed to hiking pole spreader bars

Posted in here years ago with a tent-based, summer weight. This fall I plan to hike the LT. I plan to sleep in a hammock, but will carry a pad for the option to stay in shelters.

It keeps evolving, and while it's not ultralight by many folk's standards, it's a good mix of light and comfort.

OOOOPPPSSSSS, I accidentally hit send before I was ready.
Below is my sub-zero gear list that has taken me well below zero on several occasions.
The hammock sock and zero degree quilts will be swapped out for 50 degree gear in warmer weather.

I'm going to try this on my next significant hike, in mid-April, Waynesboro to Daleville.
Zpacks Pocket Tarp with 6 Ti stakes: 5.2 oz
Zpacks bathtub floor: 2.7
EE Prodigy Long 40 deg: 21
Thermarest Xlite large: 16
Sea to Summit Aeros UL pillow: 2.5
Zpacks Zero: 7.2
54.6 oz = 3.4 lbs.
Well, it depends on the kit I'm using and who I'm traveling with. And, I don't have everything weighed out to the gram, so my numbers are only ballparks. I definitely lean toward the ultra-light side, but not with all the very best and lightest gear, more the affordable minimalist.
Summer:
- Backpack ~ 30 oz
- Quilt ~ 18 oz
- Poncho ~ 8 oz
- Pad ~ 11 oz
Total ~ 67 oz = 4.2 lbs
Shoulder:
- Backpack ~ 30 oz
- Sleeping Bag ~ 34 oz
- Poncho or Tarp or Tent ~ 8 oz or 18 oz or 48 oz
- Pad ~ 11 oz
Total ~ 83 or 93 or 123 oz = 5.2 or 5.8 or 7.7 lbs
Winter:
- Backpack ~ 38 oz
- Sleeping Bag ~ 48 oz
- Tarp or Tent ~ 18 oz or 48 oz
- Pads ~ 28 oz
Total ~ 132 or 162 oz = 8.3 or 10.1 lbs
On a bit of a contextual tangent, for a 3-4 day solo trip, my total pack weight is typically about 10-12 lbs in the summer, 12-18 lbs in the shoulder seasons, and somewhere around 28-32 lbs in the winter. By contrast, in 1980, on an 11 day climbing trip I was carrying 94 lbs. Body weight 165 + 94 = 259 lbs total in 1980. Now with body weight 225 + 35 lb backpack = 260 lbs.
NOT FAIR. I'm carrying more weight while carrying less stuff and hurting a whole lot more than I remember from back then.
I'm not lost. I'm exploring.
Backpack - 8.02 oz
Tent - 38 oz
Sleeping Pad - 2.8 oz
Sleeping Bag - 8.5 oz
Still too heavy in my opinion. I wish I had gone with a lighter tent.
We section in July so no cold weather setup required atm.
