Sams Gap Parking

Anyone familiar with this parking area off of I-26? I am planning a section hike from Hot Springs to Sams Gap, S-N and I am a little concerned about leaving a vehicle. I understand the police patrol it regularly, but has anyone heard of any bad experiences with leaving cars there ? Thanks

I personally haven't heard of any problems there. There are several paved parking spaces under the highway overpass there and a trashcan. Enjoy!

Miss Janet, who lives nearby, and is here frequently, says that as of this date, there have been no reports of problems/break-ins, etc., at this site.
