    Default Two month hike

If your roommate was paying your rent for two months and your work was going to lay you off with unemployment during the months of May and June where would you start your hike?

I would choose someplace I had not hiked before. For me, that would be starting at Rockfish Gap and hiking north.

I'd spend May hiking from Springer to Pearisburg to see the spring pounce upon southern Appalachian. On June 5th-ish I would head over to the PCT and hike from Kennedy Meadows (start of Sierra Nevada part) and hike to South Lake Tahoe.

If I had to stay on a single trail, I would probably head north from Mexico on the CDT, hiking New Mexico and part, or all, of Colorado.

If it had to be only on the AT, I might be tempted to see the entire thing at once.
