Wonder how much trail clean up is going to be needed next spring...there are an awful lot of pine trees breaking around me...

Not as bad as predicted here, still have power.
its warm enough that the rain is dripping off surfaces as apposed to freezing
    on contact.

Been about 6 inches of snow so far here just north of Burlington, VT.

Sipping coffee and enjoying a beautiful day.

Planning on playing in it tomorrow.

Had a 5" thick tree limb ice up and break off last night and hit the roof above the bedroom, then slid down. Scared us, but turned out to be no real damage. As always in this situation it could have been worse. It's now 10:30 AM and it's snowing like crazy again. Two trees were down, well away from the house, way up in the back yard.

    Freaky. Gonna flood areas.

We were supposed to get 2-4 inches in the valleys and up to 6-8 in the Roans last night. Woke up this morning to NOTHING. Not even any ice. I was going to work from home. DARN!

Wow, now there's a switch! We're usually the ones with rain while you folks get dumped with white stuff.

Up here we didn't get anything.... It sleeted a little, but mostly rain... Today is gorgeous.... Chilly, but no rain, no ice, no snow.

Was also talking to some colleagues in Manhattan yesterday... Just rain for them... My brother down in Mississippi said they got about 2 inches of snow...

The inch of snow we got last night was a quarter-inch of ice on the roads on the south side of town this morning. Maybe no big deal in most places, but Metro wasn't about to turn loose its 4 salt trucks in December.

I'm about 8 actual (12 road) miles west of Bennington. Lots of outages all around me, but I'm with a very small electric company that almost never has an outage on their lines, they're just lucky I guess. My daughter lives 25 miles north and she lost her power last night, still has none, and there's not even a guess as to when it will be up again. I just spoke my dog's vet/groomer's office in the Old Bennington area (southwestern side) and they have power.

My father-in-law just called from Kennebunk, ME, to say they're without power and phone service. (The cell phone works, though.) Predictions are that they won't get power until early next week.
    If not NOW, then WHEN?
