    Default Interesting PCT website/journal

Thought some of you might find this interesting. In my Env. Studies class a newsletter was being passed around from a local co-operative food store with an article on this guy, who is hiking with his dog to raise money and awareness for animal shelters. He has been on the Trail for almost a month.

I'm pretty sure the dog has been off the trail for a while now. There was something from the guy posted to the PCT-L a week or two ago about that. Dogs really have a hard time on the PCT due to the terrain and conditions, particularly in the south where ground temperatures can get well above the 100 degree mark (as in 120+). Seems like a shame to put a dog through it, but people try all the time.
