    Default wide and big feet

I suspect a NB shoe with the right orthotic will do the trick, but you may need some trial and error on the orthotic. Superfeet have a wide selection. Personally like the greens, but I gather you've already tried those.

I am very happy with new balance 810...811 with jell insoles.

I can put my feet into NB 4e's and still blow the sides out in a 100 miles. NB's are great shoes but they break down really fast on the soles as posted, and do not have enough shank support. They work good if you replace them every few hundred miles. I do equine endurance riding too and the lightweight Ariat riding/hiking shoes have the y shank embedded in the soles like Vasque originally came up with several years back. Vasque makes mighty good foot ware but not for wide lasts. Anyone found any 4e or 2e shoes with y shanks in the soles other than Ariat?
