Kay Wood Lean to is one of the finest I've stayed at. Great fire pit on top of a little cliff, light on the bugs and a great water source.

Sad news... "Grandma" Kay Wood is no longer with us. She passed away, peacefully, Tuesday morning, February 16th, 2010. Prayers go out to all her family and friends...

A Dalton AT Community member, Margaret Cahill has completed a half hour video biography of Kay, focusing mostly on her contribution to the Trail. She was quite a remarkable person. At our "premiere" showing in Dalton, we had several folks from Kay's extended family and the "Bobbsey Bums" she met on her thru hike in the 90's.
