Any points of interest between Neel's Gap and Dicks Creek Gap in GA?

Anyone know any side trails to things worth breaking trail to see (ie, waterfalls, river, etc)?

If not, where could i find that sort of info?

Winton Porter (who runs the Mountain Crossings facility at Neel Gap) has lived down there for years. I bet if you write or call him, he'll have all sorts of ideas for you.

The headwaters of the Chattahootchee. Tray Mountain, Cheese Factory, Leveland Mtn (especially in winter).

And the area is eat up in waterfalls and vistas. North of the trail is Brasstown Bald, Georgia's highest mountain.

It all depends on what distance and trouble you wish to invest on those sites away from the less traveled trail.
