Sounds more fun than it probably really is. Hope you feel better soon.
The trail was here before we arrived, and it will still be here when we are gone...enjoy it now, and preserve it for others that come after us

Gets better each day. Hurts like hell as you wean off the morphine but in about two weeks you won't need it.

Your chest hurting is actually a good thing. The pain reminds you that your not dead.
Wait till that scar starts healing and your itching it all the time, even in your sleep.

How did you like it when they pulled your drain tubes out? When they yanked mine they just kept coming and coming out. I guess I should have warned you not to look.

Seriously, walk them halls as much as you can. When you feel like youre too tired, get junk yard dog mean and force your self.

one last thing. Did they give you a heart shaped pillow to hold to your chest when you cough or do the give out Teddy bears in Va.?

    Heart shaped pillows??

Hah. He'd take it home and use it for crossbow practice.

Lone Wolf don't need no stinkin' pillow, he won't be there long enough to get any sleep.

Please get well soon, L. Wolf.

When there are a lot of posts on WB I often start by clicking on your name to find the pithy stuff first. You are surely needed back for more important reasons, too.

Spoken like a man who has never had his chest broke open like a ripe melon

Trust me, when you feel that cough coming on you will grabb for your Grannies bloomers to clutch to your chest to cushion the blow.
Right around tomorrow or the next day he will be hacking up blood that leaked into his lungs and chest cavity during the surgery. A little red pillow won't see any arrows then

Hope the heart shaped piller helps. I'll be praying for you.

[quote=Jack Tarlin;792887]They put you on morphine for this sorta thing??

    ============================

Every case is a little different but I was on heavy and increasing dosage of morphine for about 5 hours and then when they pushed me into the cath lab they started another IV with more sedation. I was never completly anesthetized but I may as well have been. In the days that followed in ICU they gradually decreased the drugs but you are so loopy it really doesn't seem like it.

As for the barbeque ...I'd love some right now !!

LW, You don't know me either. I did yank your chain a few years back when you had that naked sheriff running around town. I am not sure I like the kinder gentler thing either. In the battle of the icons of the trail I always liked your pith. Get well quick. My prayer are with you and Gypsy.
