Default Interesting Trees in the Lake Delancy area

I am sure that many of you guys have seen these 'twisted' oaks in the Ocala National Forest. They grow in clusters, among the tall pines. Beautiful, as is much of Ocala.
I spent yet another wonderful weekend camping and hiking there.

Sand live oaks. Gotta love 'em. My favorite Florida tree. I used to live in a little house in Dunnellon with ancient sand live oaks over the roof. It was a pain to keep the gutters clean but during the 2004 hurricanes, everyone else in the neighborhood had roof damage except me ... I had an acre of oak branches and leaves to clear off, but these sturdy trees protected my shingles.
