    5 dollars when applicable.

    It seems like I remember at least one in Vermont at Stratton Pond. By shelters I assume you mean shelters/leantos and not the high mountain huts operated by AMC in the Whites which are substantially more expensive.

    Yes, there are a places on the LT that charge, and the fee is five dollars.

    I recall the shelters/campsites in the Whites as being more like $8.

    In the whites, it's 8 dollars. On the LT in VT its 5 dollars where applicable.

    What about the huts in the Whites? I stayed at one and it was WAY more than $5...
