Going to spend a week around Hot Springs or Max Patch to do some day hikes, need info on campsites close to the AT. thanks. will probably stay out for a couple of overnites need one safe to leave truck

There is the Rocky Bluff campground just outside Hot Springs. And the campground in Hot Springs.

Camp at Rich Mountain Tower.

Along Laurel River Trail & the old Runion camp.

There are a number of campsites in the Harmon Den area.

The appeared to be many campsites on the opposite side of the river from Hot Springs on the AT.
