    Default NJ north from DWG

I知 planning a 3 day hike from the DWG north. We will have 2 cars. I was thinking of putting one car at Stokes State Forest where Route 206 crosses the AT. Then going back to the DWG to start the hike. I値l leave the other car at Worthington State Park and start the hike north.

Questions: Are these locations safe to leave the car? Any suggestions or thoughts regarding these locations?

Any other words of wisdom for this section?

I liked the AT in New Jersey very much. Can be rattlesnakes, though, and bear activity, though I saw neither.

I know the stokes spot is ok...just make sure you check in with the rangers. Is the Worthington lot the same as the Dunnfield Creek lot? I know Dunnfield is pretty safe, for the most part.

check with the rangers, either at the river side visitor center or at worthington park. there has been cars broken in to at dunnefield. an option is to park at worthington park and take a blue blaze up to the AT. my last hike there I left a car at the copper mine lot and the second at buttermilk falls, came back and went nobo. no problems. its a great hike.
