I think if you sign your name to a lie you're a liar.
If I ever sign my name to the form I will be signing to the truth.
It seems to me that many of the people who have the strongest opinions may have signed their name to a lie.

    Wat's you lookin' peevish for
Pick yer jaw up off the floor
    Was you smacked with a 2 x 4
Sure you're not broke out in sores
    You ain't got no disease
    Don't go lookin' for sympathy
'cause I knows if you was me
    you'd be 'appy.

I now how hard it's got,
And your guts is gone to rot,
And yer life is all upsot,
And yer flashin' cold and hot,
But suck back yer nasal drip
    Stiffen up yer lower lip
Yer not goin' to be missed
So 'tis just as well to be 'appy.

Blue blazed and proud of it.

AND I have my 2,000 miler patch.

My math tells me I hiked 99.35% of the white blazed trail.

Should I be ashamed I missed 0.65 percent of the trail?

I'd say anything above 90% is well deserved. Enjoy the patch you earned and deserve.

I'm a blue blazin fool and if I ever get to thru hike the trail...I know there's some sights to see on a blue path.

Some students from India and Pakistan and Bangladesh were playing a game now that exams are over. They looked like they were having a pretty good time. It was fun too watch. Didn't last 40 days and 40 nights either. Sports are great, the way they connect people. Chess is something you can do when travelling abroad also. Nice way to connect with people. You don't even need to share a language. I learned how to play spanish checkers with some souveinier vendors in the Dominican and that was way cool. After a couple of days they didn't mind so much me hanging around. After a week they didn't want my shoes and money, not all of it anyway. lol

As I was walking through the Grayson Highlands today, there were a bunch of ponies blocking the AT. Would a purist have to shoo the ponies out of the way? How far of The True Path is one allowed to step?

If you ride one of those ponies and he walks down the AT, does it count?

Never mind that! Did you read in the latest Journeys about the geek who counted EVERY WHITE BLAZE between Springer & Katahdin?! I'm glad he's not a trail maintenance supervisor or anything.

No, but if you walked Skyline Drive in Shenandoah - as you previously said you did - you should be ashamed of your math skills.

I've only taken a couple blue blazed trails thus far. By far, my favorite is the Wesser Creek Trail. It splits from the AT right at Wesser Bald Shelter just north of the NOC. If you're ever in that neck of the woods, give it a go, it's a beautiful hike.

I saw that. He wore out three counters.

Did he put replacements in his resupply boxes?

I'd love to do two hikes. A pure white blaze hike and a second hike where I took all the good blue blazes.

Perhaps Guantanamo Bay should be reopened for blue blazers
Wow, i never thought of that, you have some good ideas.

I did just that...the first one was cool because it was "new" but the blueblaze was prettier and more enjoyable.
