    Hi i hear that about 6 mile outside is where you pick up the A.T. is Mt. Rogers HQ. and i hear they a have shower do they allow hikers to use it. Thank

    But not open on weekends until Forest Service gets to time they consider freeezing weather has past and/or their "camping season" starts. Not sure whether this is May 1st or Memorial Day. best to check with them on their schedules.

    It was going for us in early May in '07. Ought to be going now with 80s weather! Shower was sweet. As was the pizza.

    The visitor center is open, so the water is on at the Partnership shelter where the showers are located. I looked online...
