Bear Mt. Trailhead

How is this section? I was told to start at the trailhead near Peekskill. Should I head South or North? Does anyone have some pictures? Any higlights I should see around this area?

Thanks for the input, I am thinking abot hiking part of this section and any/all feedback would help!

Check the AT data book or go online to ALDHA for their companion and download the section to check on shelters, etc. Note - water sources can be scarce in NY.
I think I have a few pics on my gallery of the bridge, Lemon squeezer, etc. Bear mtn area is interesting as are the wildlife exhibits. I can tell you, the climb up from Bear Mtn bridge to Graymoor NOBO was a bit of a bear though...
