Default Amazing Discovery On Blood Mountain

Maybe it's not really amazing, but now I have your attention. Last Sunday while on the summit of Blood Mountain I was playing with the map and compass. I created a heading for Springer Mountain, and while I was looking at my compass trying to see Springer I noticed that the crack between my feet was pointing at Springer. Then (hang on to your seats) I noticed that the crack is next to the USGS survey marker!

The model in the photo, we'll call her Vanna, is pointing to the crack that points to Springer with one finger, and the USGS marker with her other finger.

When I was in the 100 mile last summer I saw this tree root that pointed right toward Katahdin. . . . it was awesome. . . .

OK, there's a crack problem here, but I'm not sure its with the original poster...

It doesn't look like a crack to me. It looks more like a dent.
