Default 4th of july in Harpers Ferry

Again we will be welcoming thru hikers to our place for the weekend of the 4th. Last year we had 56 hikers & 3 dogs. We'll begin shuttling hikers to our place which is 3 miles outside of Harpers Ferry & begin shuttling back to the ATC on sunday the 5th. We have a small football field size backyard & it mostly under shade. Our #'s are 304-268-2620 & 304-616-0169. Looking foward to seeing everyone.

A hiker feed? This will start another Trail Magic vs Hiker Feed Vs "Hikers are bums that do not need anything" entitlement rage. Party on man.

Wow! That sounds really terrific - almost makes me want to get in the car and drive down. I'm hoping you and all your guests have great weather for the 4th.

Sounds like a great time BonzNRio. I wanted to know if Harpers Ferry fireworks display can be seen from atop Weaverton Cliffs ?

Looking to combine some hiking and fireworks without the hassle of rubbin' elbows with city folk & their picnic baskets huddled around in a sea of humanity.

Here's hoping the weather will be fine for the 4th.

We'll be up in Frederick MD today (the 4th) for the fireworks in Baker Park. Then we'll be hiking, along with our son, up the Maryland Heights trail out of Harpers Ferry Sunday morning - to be followed by cold pints at Secret Six Tavern at the 1:30 pm "legal time to serve." Happy 4th everyone!
