Default Anyone tried removing the frame from an Odyssey?

Has anyone tried removing the frame from a Golite Odyssey pack? How did it ride without the frame?

i've hiked about 1500 miles with the frames removed from a pair of GoLite litespeed packs. I think it's the same two frame w/ plastic frame sheet setup.

Be aware...you can't put 35 lbs comfortably in a 2 pound framed pack and you can't carry more than 20 or 25 comfortably in a 1.5 pound frameless pack.

The GoLite Odyssey is what, a 95 liter pack? I don't think you could fill that pack up and still be under 25-30 lbs, which is usually the max recommended load for frameless packs.

Furthermore, the Odyssey is 3lbs 8 ozs, which is about 3 lbs less than most packs of that size.

I would think you would lose pack integrity, and 95L frameless and full just seems counter productive. IMHO you need to drop weight somewhere else. That pack is huge.
