Default Hitching from North Troy, VT to Sherebrooke, Quebec?

Anyone familiar with the border crossings North of the Long Trail? Will I have a problem hitching once I walk through the border crossing at North Troy? (yes, I know I need my passport now)

My eventual goal would be to go to Montreal or Quebec City (QC is probably the first choice) and there's bus service to both out of Sherbrooke.

    Thoughts?
