Shuttle from Newfound down to Fontana Dam First week of June
Any problem parking at Newfound Gap and getting a shuttle down to Fontana Dam the first Monday in June? Want to do that section with my teenage son.
My wife and I are planning to go the opposite direction that week, maybe we can coordinate. I will PM you.

Keep in mind that for a shuttle operator to legally operate inside GSMNP, they have to have a permit.
I'm not sure about then number of permitted shuttle operators there are on the NC side of the mountain, but last I heard (a year ago) only two shuttle services had the required permit stationed out of TN side.
Should not be a problem. Just did section hike, did it in 2 sections. Rock Gap to Fontana and then Newfoundland Gap to Fontana. Had shuttle driver take us up to Newfoundland Gap to hike south to Fontana.
That is one heck of a long hike.....!! LOL
