Default Plane crash near the AT again?

Does anyone know just how close to the AT this latest plane crash was this week?

    Default Not Sure

I couldn't find the name of the mountain that he crashed on, but several articles mention a "5000 foot peak in Clay County". I would suspect, and this is a guess, that would be Tusquitee Bald or one of the nearby peaks on that ridgeline. They are close to the Andrews-Murphy airport.

I guess I didn't answer your question - if that is the right mountain, it's less than 10 miles from the AT in the Wayah Bald area, probably more like 5.

Near Tusquitee Bald...mountain by the name of "Shinbone Mountain". This peak is east of the Fires Creek Area.
