when I was doing a section in NJ/NY I stayed at the Mayors house...panama red was there at that time along with blue, ayce, weezer and evergreen.. blue dropped me a line and told me he made it July 4th. I was wondering if anyone else has heard if the others did. Also met archamides and a few others at the highpoint shelter. I have pics available on my link under memorial day hike between high point and vernon. http://picasaweb.google.com/socrholic61

Anyone know if "You" summited...I think his real name is Eddie. We leapfrogged a couple of days in the Smokies back in early May.

Primitive, Threshold [flip-flop], Peanut, and Hardcore summited on Aug. 6th. August 4th, MycoPolo, Poncho and Lefty [flip-flop], and Tekla summited, and August 7th or 8th, perhaps, Watchman and Madelyn from Maine ought to have.

Thanks very much to all trail maintainers, trail magicians, and congratulations to all Class of '09-ers.

A very special thank-you to Threshold, a real girl, for the 1325.8 miles we spent together, and best of luck for her remaining 852.5.

    -Primitive and Threshold.

Smiling Bandit, Buckeye, Grover (in 99 days), Big Tuna, Happy,Hoover, Poseidon, Yoon (a man from South Korea who didn't speak more than several words of English "Happy Hiking & No English") , and several more that I met in the 100 mile wilderness...

I hiked with Smiling Bandit and Poseidon down South... all of the names above finished with 4 months.

Yoon is an interesting story... but I don't feel like I know enough about him to report much... ask around about him... apparently now a "legend" in South Korea??

    Godspeed

Last Friday I met Kevin and his buddy in Gorham and they had finished the day before and had rented a car and were headed to Vermont.
