    Default British Columbia

There are a couple openings on a trip to British Columbia.

Details are still being formed, but here's the gist:

Leave by van next Thursday eve.

Drive through to Vancouver, then to Mt Waddington general area.

Backpack in, hike around Tiedemann Glacier, hike out. Time in woods a week to ten days.

Hopefully get to canoe in south Idaho on the way back.

Total time away: between 2 and 3 weeks.

    PM me if interested.

EDIT: Cost of trip is share of expenses (gas/food/etc)

Are you a hatchet murderer trying to lure gullable internet surfers to their roadside graves?

I picked up this book from an outfitter in Canmore, Canada. Alberta is the province or whatever the Canucks call their 'states'. Don Serl made a really kick-butt guide, aptly named "The Waddington Guide". It's more geared towards the climber, but oh man it is sweet. ISBN 0968247253 www.elaho.ca is the publisher's website. I think he works at MEC, which is the Canadian's REI, but with cheaper prices due to the exchange rate for us foreigners that come visit. http://www.mec.ca

Also, here's a good Canuck website for route info and such, even for hiking: http://bivouac.com/

Chris from this website might be interested. Total speculation on my part, but I thought he did make mention of moving out here and maybe he's still on summer break. Or even LW, he sounds like he has plenty of free time.
How many more of our soldiers must die in Iraq?

Hmmm...Too bad I missed this thing. Waddington is really, really high on the list.
