I saw 3 brothers getting ready to finish up a week ago up on Cowrock mountain. They seemed really happy to be so close to the end.

I'm sure there are some, but I don't have a feel for how many. When I NOBO'ed in 2006 I was still seeing SOBO'ers thru New Hampshire in September.

    I don't think you're allowed to eat hikers. . .

Saw Flip-Flop hiker Jabberwocky this past Thursday about a mile north of Washington Monument. She was about 50 miles from finishing her thru in Front Royal. Congrats, Jabberwocky!

A bartender at Big Meadows Lodge told us that there were three SOBOs in her bar last week. No names, unfortunately.

We saw 15 this past week at Fontana. Was there for 5 days doing trail work. They are targeting Springer for around Nov 16-19. Will finish too early to get to enjoy the Thanksgiving feast. But it was a pretty steady stream of 2-3 hikers per day. Had a large crowd on Tuesday of 7 after getting 0 on Monday.
