    Default trail speed records

just been looking up some recent records. looks like the long trail record has been broken and scott williamson and a friend beat hortons PCT record.

so who else is going for trail records in the near future?
any news on karls next attempt?

got a few plans myself to get back in shape for an attempt at the AT. i am hoping to have a go at the long trail next year with out support if i can get away for a month

Squeaky, you won't need a month to hike the Long Trail! More like 5 days!

How quickly did Williamson and his friend hike the PCT? And was it supported or no?

i would need to get 1000 trail miles to get in shape before i start and hike the northern section of the trail a couple of times to get a feel for the trail. i would only need around 40,000 calories/16lbs of food and a sleeping bag so only start out with 20lbs

Wow, that's incredible, I'm not sure my body could handle that stress. Congrats to those guys!
