    Default Hello from Veggie Steve

    Hi everyone
Just to let all of my fellow hikers that I had the pleasure of meeting and spending some time with that I finished my thru-hike of the A.T. on my birthday 8th. September 2009. I reached the summit of Mt Katahdin at 12:45. There was a covering of mist and a fairly cold wind blowing but that didn't detract from my feeling of elation at finally completing the big challenge.
I would really like to hear from everyone that I met and shared shelters and camps with during the five months that I spent on the trail. i want to know how you did and what you are doing now.
please contact me via email on: [email protected]
I am looking forward to hearing from you.

    Yours.

Veggie, I am glad all went according to plan. I returned to Maine in late Sept to finish my hike after the colors started changing. It was a good decision on my part because the colors made it worth the extra money and time. It truly was amazing. I finished my journey on Oct 6th with a handful of great people.
