    i wouldnt call it crazy just expect to take your sweet a$$ time walkin thru the south that way u wont reach the whites and other northern sections that are close to impassible most of the winter untill its gettin warm out again

    Also, don't underestimate the difficulty of the White Mountains when things start melting in the spring. Some places are impassable then, with 10' of soft snow undercut by streams, etc.
