    Default Designated fire areas

I really enjoy a camp fire when I settle down at the end of the day. Is there a resource that can tell me where I can and can't have camp fires along the AT?

The guidebooks such as the Thru-hikers' Handbook or the ALDHA Thru-hikers' Companion explain the few areas that do not allow campfires. New Jersey is one of the few areas that come to mind, along with the few sections of private property that do not allow camping.
If people spent less time being offended and more time actually living, we'd all be a whole lot happier!

You can have really big campfires in the Smokies and anywhere in New Hampshire. . .
