Farewell Ziggy, SW Virginia, hiker/host

Some may have encountered George Ziegenfuss, trail name Ziggy, who with wife Murray hosts hikers in their home near AT in southwest Virginia.

George died on Nov 11, 2009 at age 78. He was a two time thru hiker, last time in the 1990's I think.

Sweet man, retired pastor, trail and heart wise without being pushy about it, mentor to many. If you met him you haven't forgot. Any wishing to send condolences to Murray, family may try this link...
