    What are the most healthy nutrition, protein, or energy bars for backpackers ???

    Some folks think that processed sugars are not as "good for you" (tm) as natural sugars. If you are one of those people, there are a few bars on the market are not made with processed surgars.

    I'm not a real fan of chocolate so I lean toward Harvest, Cliff and Luna bars. They all come in several flavors so you can mix it up a bit. And they are not so dry that you need a bucket of water just to eat one bar. I can usually find them for less than $1 each. Sometimes Cliff bars can be found at Big Lots for $0.59.
