A donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, and the A. T. Museum board have reached an agreement on a $50,000 challenge grant that will be sufficient to fund the needed renovations to the A.T. ~ PROGRESS REPORT ~~see attachments below:
Appalachian Trail Museum Friend,
Within the last month, the A. T. Museum entered into an agreement with an
anonymous donor who has offered us a $50,000 matching-grant . All monies
from memberships, donations, etc. forward from now will count to match this
$50,000 grant . As we raise committed funds, there will be disbursements of
of pre-agreed funding amounts to the A. T. Museum from the grant. This will
allow us to procede with the renovations to our building needed to open the
2nd., 3rd., and basement floors to use !
Please review carefully the attached "Progress Report" and the attached
membership/donor form . NOTE: All donations at a $50 or more level will have
a listing on a PERMANENT plaque in the Museum plus will receive a one-year
A. T. Museum membership ~~~ DEADLINE IS DEC. 31, 2010 ~~~
(please see the two attachments) ~~0 0~~
Sincerly,
Robert Croyle "Red Wolf o'da Smoky's"
Appalachian Trail Museum, membership secretary
So if you get $50k in donations, this anonymous person will give you an extra 50 grand?
Wilderness is not a luxury but a necessity of the human spirit, and as vital to our lives as water and good bread.

Based on.. "$50,000 GRANT HAS NO DEADLINE ~ DISBURSEMENTS FROM IT ARE MADE AS WE RAISE MATCHING AMOUNTS OF CASH" .. it appears that donations are matched dollar for dollar as they are received until the $50,000 limit has been reached. So... if 5,000 people send in $10 this month, there is a much better chance that additional floors can be completed before the
June 17-19, 2011 A.T. Museum Trail Festival.
Backpacking light, feels so right.
YES, "$" for "$" matched up to $50,000 !
Disbursements to Museum = mutually agreeable amounts to match the varied phases of construction
from the $50,000 account !
By the June A.T. Museum Festival ~ well, that would be a lot ....but who knows ? ....~ the Museum and the architects are proceding even now (as I understand from the President, Larry is even down there at the Museum this weekend working on Museum business ! )

Not for nothing Red Wolf but your use of large fonts, different size fonts, underlines, bold, colors, tildes and symbols for words make your posts harder to read than the default. It also comes across as aggressive.
