My blue-blaze summer tour rocked. Overmountain Victory Trail, Laurel Falls and the Hampton blue blaze, the Virginia Creeper Trail (by bicycle), Grayson Highlands and both the Tennessee and Virginia portions of the Iron Mountain Trail. Just a fantastic trip over 10 days time.
When I finish section hiking the entire Alabama portion of the Pinhoti Trail in three weeks, that will make for a close second.
If people spent less time being offended and more time actually living, we'd all be a whole lot happier!

Hiking the Presidential Range on a 135 mile visibility day - August 27, 09. Wow!!!! That would be a notable "where" and "when" example.
I could add countless ""who" examples as well. The many friends we made on the trail enriched our experience deeply.
Hiking with my Daughter in the Roan Highlands, amazing weekend!
The Annual Winter Hike with family and friends at Old Man's Cave in Ohio. The Grandma Gatewood section of the Buckeye Trail.
"every day's a holiday, every meal a feast"
Spending a day in Franklin with "The BUS driver" listening to historical stories, eating the best Mex food on the trail, moving soda machines and learning the virtues of drinking Calvert's Whiskey. What was the name of that whiskey? Sang along with the Chunky Gal and was the first to stay at the new hostel. Pretty righteous day.
