Major bridge linking ADK's to the Greens and Whites falls into Lake Champlain

NE hiker highway landmark bridge condemned and destroyed.
Been over that bridge quite a few times, anyone else ?

Yes, used to camp at the Crown Point DEC Campsite right next to it. I liked to wake up in the AM at sunrise and walk over the bridge while my wife would sleep in.. It was always a stopover point for us on our way to Campobello Isle and sometimes when she wanted to follow the Champlain Historical Seaway Trail/Canal Trail.

There were a few discussions about this a couple of months ago on the VFTT and ADK boards when they closed/comdemned it. It will now cause drivers an additional 100+ miles or have to take the ferry, as I understand.

I am hoping to see pictures of the demolition....
