Being I can't get it here I'm a Shiner bock fan. Nice and dark..almost nobody else drinks it in my circle of friends. I've tried the smokehouse and it's ok but I prefer to eat my barbeque if you know what I mean.
Yuengling released a bock last summer but only in kegs. It was the best Yuengling product I've tasted. I just found out that they will release it in bottles very soon...

Gotta admit, I'm a big Peroni fan. Fat Tire & Stella are also very good IMHO. Yuengling is my staple though.

Woodchuck Cider is pretty good, but the best I remember may have been straight up Pabst Blue Ribbon at Apple House Shelter near Roan Mountain/Elk Park or 75-cent Yuengling in the Port Clinton Bar. Good times.

An outgrowth of my ongoing study of beer. Picture a wine tasting judge, only with beer, except that we beer folks aren't stupid enough to spit it out like the wine judges! I used to hate beer, tasted nasty. Then, someone gave me real beer, and taught me to make my own beer. It was an obsession from then on. I used to say I was a beer snob (which was true!), but hoped I wasn't so full of myself that I was an absolute snot about it. Lately, I've come to believe otherwise about myself.

I like the various Woodchuck ciders, as I do most ciders. Ciders are wonderful, but they're not beer. I do understand that that's a distinction without a difference.

Hope that helps clarify. Probably not, though. Darn, in advance!

Baltika (the best kind is number 7, I believe)

(Awesome Russian beer, but stay away from number 11, I believe- maybe it's 13. It's mixed with vodka.)

The most enjoyable beer I've had on an AT hike is the Yuengling at the Doyle after hiking in 90+ degree heat all day.

Best beer I've ever had hiking is Moose Drool that is made in Montana and you can get around Yellowstone.

I can get Yuengling in Indiana - I gotta believe it's available in KY.
Pain is a by-product of a good time.
