The only thing that I think I'll miss is the convience of a Kegerator in my apartment. Nothing better than readily available cold tapped Sam Adams

Be bold, say yes, and write your own story.
Definatly my Iphone lol
as a nobo, i think the further i get into my hike, i will definitely wind up missing sweet tea. =(
and as disgusting as this sounds, i think the dirtier i get, the less i will *miss* showers, but instead will just come to *appreciate* them more. does that make sense? o.O
if i choose not to take my dogs, i will definitely miss them.
OH.. and i will miss being warm at night. i'm such a pansy when it comes to being cold when i'm trying to sleep.
I'll miss being out there with you all.
How do you know what you are going to miss? You might surprise yourself and not miss half the things you think you will.
Some knew me as Piper, others as just Diane.
I hiked the PCT: Mexico to Mt. Shasta, 2008. Santa Barbara to Canada, 2009.

Ya Turtle Feet I won't be joining you all. I should have known better to start that Class of 2011 Thread.
I'm out of work again and looking like crazy for another job.
If I find one pretty quick, I may be able to get completely out of debt and have the necessary funds for a '013' hike.
Maybe I can bring some "Trail Magic" of some kind out to you all if you let me know when you are getting close to East Tennessee, so please keep in touch while your out there, okay?

I hear 'ya with the job thing. My husband and I had a conversation just tonight about how thankful we are that he's working - it's a shame that so many people are still out of work! Good luck with that!!!
I'm going to try my best to keep a trail log at Postholer.com I know that once I get out there and away from the daily technology, I tend to be less and less likely to use it. I'm guessing my start will be right around March 13th(ish), that's about all I know for now.
Who knows, maybe if I have enough fun I'll be back out there in '13!

I will miss the trail people after the end of the hike that I won't be seeing anymore. That's the way it has been on my all section hikes.
Hey! You will be Welcomedon an '013' hike TF,
and I can relate with you Walkin Wally on missing those you section hiked with. I tried to keep in touch with some of the ones I met while section hiking, even got Christmas cards from a few of them.
I said earlier in an earlier post that I wouldn't miss anything. Actually, I will miss poker. I'll probably bring a deck of cards but I'm afraid I won't find any poker players on the trail. I play everyday either in the casino or with friends. If I can't make it to a game i play online.
Any Hold 'em players?

I will really miss March Madness, especially since I'm starting early and won't see any of it. Other than that I don't know, probably chicken-fried steak.
Luddite, I'm up for a game of hold 'em. Who's carrying the chips?
I know this sounds crazy, but I think I'll miss my job too! I work seasonal bird jobs, so I'm going to miss the spring and summer field seasons. But, that being said, I am definitely willing to forgo all that for this amazing adventure!
And, of course, I'll miss fresh baked cookies, being dry when it's raining outside (it is currently raining and I am sitting inside, nice and dry), and painting. But it's so worth it!
oh, and choices. food choices. clothing choices. etc. but I think that's part of the charm; when you come off the trail you will miss the simplicity of it all. I'm so excited!
Baseball!!
I'll miss my bikes (both street and track) that I'm selling to fund the hike. Will be well worth it though. Going to Barber in Alabama for one last ride on the gsxr at the track next weekend!
I'm going to carry mini chips I think. http://www.frpgames.com/cart.php?m=p...=48839&ref=amz

....i don't know.
Probably regular hot showers and clean cloths.
