    Default My Snow Day Walk

I hope that it's alright to post these pictures here.

We dont get much snow here in southeastern Virginia. But, its been snowing here since very early this morning (1-30-10) and is not expected to stop until early Sunday morning. We are supposed to end up with 12-15 inches, which I realize for many here isnt a big deal, but, for this area it is. I took a few hours to walk around town and enjoy the show, which is dry and powdery.

So here are a few photos of Williamsburg covered in snow --

A quick shot of the yard before I headed out.

And a shot of the house. That's mine obscured in the back there.

A shot on the corner of Richmond Rd and Scotland St. The Green Leaf and Paul's there on the left. Green Leaf has over 40 beer's on tap and Pauls is a great place to eat (and few terrorists... err I mean tourists).

A shot up Richmond Rd towards the College and Duke of Gloucester St.

Yes, in front of the Christopher Wren building. Here is a link with a brief history of the statue -- http://www.galenfrysinger.com/william_mary_college.htm

Erin, there were quite a lot of folks out and about, especially William and Mary students. It was pretty cool to see all the folks out enjoying the day. Some of the pictures I took had lots people out and about.

DAKS -- how much did yall get? My dad, sister and niece live in Suffolk as well. Sure they went sledding.

Great pictures!! 12-15" is a lot of snow to fall at one time anywhere I'm hoping most of the snow we have here in Wyoming will melt a bit by this weekend so I can head out to the mountains for a few nights

Thanks for this. My wife and I went to school in the 'burg and lived there for several years afterward, from 1980-88 or so. Brought back a lot of memories.

You've got three times the snow that I've got. I think the world's gone upside down
