Isn't that opposite? I've detected SOBO's in fog 1/4 to 1/2 miles away. The longer they are on trail and unshowered, the further the stench announced their impending arrival.
i guess i was thinking the distance to nausea shortens
I think this can apply to non-hiking tourists too. I was walking down into a gap once and smelled the tourists soapy clean smells with perfume and such way before I ever saw them. They stink purdy
