    Default Late March weather Pearisburg to Atkins

    Heading to the trail in last week of March in the Pearisburg to Atkins area. What kind weather temps can I expect?

    This year i believe ,just a guess,late March will be unseasonably cool and wet, given the amount of snow we've had add muddy.But a day on the Trail is better than not! If you need to park your car here let us know.276-783-3754. Happy Hiker Hollow

    think snow in most places, and ice where it has melted and re-froze. Temps will prob be in 40s daytime and 20's nighttime. Maybe colder if winter weather persist. This is the most snow VA has seen since '96.

    Last year I hiked this exact section in the middle of Feb. No snow and temps in the upper 30s. Questions like these are worthless.

    Check the weather before you leave. But I'd prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
