    Default Ranger Stations

Are there Ranger Stations near the AT in Georgia? If so, where and how far off the Trail?

State park Rangers at Amicalola State park.
Forest service Rangers occasionally at road crossings etc.

    Default Ranger Station

Thanks for the reply. This is my first time on the AT in Georgia and I was thinking about forwarding a package to myself about 50-100 miles in. Advice?

Love people and use things; never the reverse.

Mt. Katahdin would be a lot quicker to climb if its darn access trail didn't start all the way down in Georgia.

There are Rangers all over Georgia.

They do train around the trail.
If you send them drop boxes...do not expect food back!

Thanks for the info. It was the guide at the ATC office in harpers ferry who suggested the ranger station drops....appreciate you setting me straight.
