    Default Lake Pleiad

Does anyone know the swimming potential for Lake Pleiad? I will be hiking northbound on the Long Trail as a dayhike from Brandon Gap to Middlebury Gap and figure to get here in the afternoon of an August day. If anyone has any photos of this lake it would be appreciated. Thank you.

You can swim there. Locals hike in to swim. You can't camp there. There used to be a lean-to on the lake. It's a beautiful spot.

I'll admit I haven't been there in a while, but since when? Is it posted? I've fished & swam there for years.

Don't know where JoeHiker got that idea. Unless there's a public danger (pollution, algae bloom), all public bodies of water are open to swimming in VT. They don't even close Huntington Gorge during high water which has a swimming fatality just about every year.

    Not sure about leeches tho.
