Now that's awesome. Maybe end up the day by soaking in a hotspring flowing into the river would be the only thing I could add (w/o being deleted).
I hope they lash those coolers down well. Heck, they better lash the cook down as well. It'd suck if you lost either of them in the rapids.
(Do they get serenaded with banjos?)

Yeah..if I was paid for my culinary skills while on hiking and esp hut trips, that would be quite nice...

That's 10 lbs of marinated pork roast I packed in (on skis!) along with spinach with dried salami, olives and garlic served with herb roasted potatoes,carrots and onions.
My pack was quite heavy...but my friend's 40th b-day was memorable!
