    Default Sweet Sue Chicken

They're back! The 3 oz foil packs of Sweet Sue chicken can be purchased from Amazon.com. The killer is you have to order 18 at a time...

I bought a couple of them (singles) at Kroger a couple weeks ago. I boiled a 1/2 pouch of Lipton flavored noodles and dumped in the chicken the last couple minutes. Needs salt, but tasty in the woods!

The Target here in Tuscaloosa carries them.
I am not young enough to know everything.

I'll have to check at Target. How much do they charge for them?

I'll have to check on price. My packs do not have the price on them. I think the ones I bought last month were in the neighborhood of $2.19 each.

Great to hear this. I really enjoy a pack of chicken added to a Liptons.

I don't see them there yet. I had an alert set at Amazon to email me when these were available again and I got the email this morning. Ordered my box and then told all my closest friends!

I was at Wally world this evening and they have the Tyson brand foil pack chicken in a 7 oz pouch for $2.82

They had several brands and flavors of foil pack tuna, but only the one chicken pouch.

I got lucky this morning - the local Target had various pouches and cans with pop tops of chicken on clearance. Hello! Stocked up now

I eat the equivalent of 6oz of chicken when I have chicken in a backpacking meal. As I dehydrate the chicken, each 6oz serving ends up only weighing about one ounce.

Multiply that weight difference by five or six days between resuplly, and the novelty of carrying non-dehydrated chicken quickly loses its appeal.

Might be tasty for a dayhike or a special lunch, though.

I carry it all the time, no big deal. Beats having to wait for the chicken to rehydrate. Plus over a weeks time, I might only have it 3 times.
