    Default Post Count

Less than 2 years ago, I was in the Top 10 for WB posts, now I'm barely in the Top 50.

Those of you ahead of me...you talk too much.

However, I'm confident that I'm ahead on the "value-contributed index", which I just created and will campaign to report for all posters!

I am in the top 5 for # of posts least valuable to the hiking community. . . behind Lone Wolf and a few others. . . . .

See, the issue as I see it, it that Kerosene ran out of useful things to say, so he stopped talking. Most people never seem to realize that they've run out of things to say, but they just KEEP talking. And SOME folks are about as intriguing as a goat staring at a new fence! But do THEY stop talking?

The record number of FaceBook/Twitter/SocialDiseaseNetworking posts was broken recently. Some kid made 216,000 posts within a month. Think he added much value, at all?

If yer talking, you aren't hiking, at least not uphill .

Kerosene you may recall that in the "old days," photos were included in the posts count. I know they were when I joined WB 5+ years ago but that changed within a year after I joined.

Don't you win a free stove from Zelph when you hit that level? Or is it a hug from Baltimore Jack?

I've only made 1600 posts in 8 years and none of them should be taken seriously.

I just want to point out that my post count is unimportant to me, and that I would never post just to increase it.

And I really mean that, too.

Seriously, I would never consider posting unless it was to add valuable content.

A wise old owl lived in an oak.
The more he saw the less he spoke.
The less he spoke the more he heard.
Why can’t we be like that wise old bird?
