    Default VT 17 Parking

Does anyone know how safe it is to leave a vehicle for a few days at the VT 17 crossing near Waitsfield?

VT 17 is a fairly busy road, so it's actually safer than most places. Obviously, leave no valuables in the car and if possible leave the doors unlocked. Less chance of having a window broken.

I live a few miles from there. Have not heard of any summertime incidents in the past few years and there always seem to be several cars parked in the lot. During the weekdays and especially on weekends it's a mecca of sorts for motorcyclists.

However, as NorthCountryWoods states, take the usual precautions and also understand that --- there are no guarantees.

Just wanted to give an update. We parked here for our recent section hike for 4 days. When we arrived, there was only one other car in the lot. When we returned the lot was full. Our car was safe and sound.
