Gregory's Bald this weekend? Flaming Azaleas

I used to visit Gregory's Bald every June 20th and look forward to my first visit back in three years. Anyone else going to be in the area this weekend? Any reports from anyone up the last few days? I mainly want to see how the Flaming Azaleas are doing. Hopefully they will be peaking this weekend.

Sounds like a fun trip. I've thought about driving out to Parsons Branch Road and hike in as a day hike.

Yeah I had thought about hiking in from Parson's Branch, but with me coming from TN, the rockslide would make leaving from PB to long of a detour.

If you go down to the Cabin, it should be about 11 miles round trip and you can go back up the road to Cades Cove as that section is still two way traffic.
