Keeping your dad in my prayers for a speedy and complete recovery. Also a prayer for the skilled hands of the doctors and nurses that are working to heal him.

Tuck, prayers went up this morning for your father Richard and the entire family. He is in excellent hands there at Vanderbilt.

SO sorry, hope he gets well soon.

I know what you mean - my mom fell and broke her hip a week ago and is over 700 miles from us. We did truck it out there to see her in Chicago (she was there visiting my sister and is from NY) but not sure when I will see her again as we are headed for the AT July 1.

We almost lost him Saturday night/Sunday morning. I got a call from the Dr to get down to the hospital as he might not make it. However he improved a little bit and they were even able to get him so that he could travel for a CT scan -- something they have been unable to do for much of the week. He is hanging in there and is one tough guy but, he is far from being out of the woods.

The folks here at Vanderbilt have been great and I love them. They have taken great care of my dad. And thanks to everyone here for you kind words and offers of support. I am a lil stir crazy right now and have been at the hospital from 4 am until 7pm every day since I got here. I think a trip to REI maybe in order (never been to one).

Again to everyone here thank you so much!
