SO with missing trail days in damascus as a southbounder, what events are scheduled along the trail on a typical sobo hike? I just noticed the LongTrailFestival event for this year, so that would be one. Any others?

Bennington, VT has the B-Town Chowdown this year August 1st. Early SOBOers should make it there in time.

That is the date in the 2010 Thru-Hiker's Handbook. When I see Chris and Arla in Bennington I will confirm the correct info on Whiteblaze.

I stand corrected. Party in Bennington is this coming weekend. A change of sponsorship has created some confusion.

There have been several SOBOs at each of the previous three LT Festivals, so I would not say that it is a "missing" event.
