Default ~I am in love with this quote~

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods.
There is a rature on t he lonely shore.
There is a society, where nonoe intrudes.
By the deep sea and music in it's roar.
I love not man less, but nature more.

    ~Lord Byron

    Default Donkeys Wisdom

Well you can drop your worries at the parking lot
Or way down in the city where the sun burns hot.
Although civilization is a nice place to visit,
I wouldn't want to live there.

Author unknown, but attributed to the German Landschneckts (Mercenaries) from the 14th & 15th centuries. As a rule, they carried 20' long "Pikes" or pole arms (think "Spears") but were good with nearly any weapon. They dressed VERY colorfully for the time period.
And, like us, they traveled with all their worldly goods very much of the time.

Notice also that it is my signature line.

I'm pretty sure Hunter S. Thompson said it first...
    Don't take anything I say seriously... I certainly don't.

Some of my favorites, sorry, I don't know most of the authors:

"Things have a way of working out, despite our best efforts."

"The journey, not the destination, becomes a source of wonder. In the end, one of the most important steps on our journey is the one in which we throw away the map. In jettisoning the grids & brambles of our own pre-conceptions, perhaps we are better able to find the real secrets of each place."

"Earth gives life & seeks the man who walks gently upon it."

"What lies before you & what lies behind you pales insignificant when compared to what lies within you. 20 years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do, than by the ones you did do. Throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

"Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati: When all else fails, play dead!" Steven Smith aka: Red Green

"You could get mauled by a bear & Die. You could get bit by a snake & Die. You could fall off a cliff & Die. You could get struck by lightning & Die. Or, you could stay home, sit on the couch, eat potato chips, & Die."

"Everywhere is walking distance, if you have the time."

    From my shop teacher:
