Duxbury Road trail crossing parking lot

Any information on the size, visibility, and safety of this parking lot would be appreciated.

I'm trying to decide weather to leave my car there for two weeks, or at the park-and-ride in Waterbury, Vt. Ideally having my car at the road crossing would make a "car resupply" easier then hitching into Waterbury.

My friend and I are hiking to northern terminus from Rutland over the next 14 days. Thanks.

Either location would be reasonably "safe" however you should keep in mind that both locations will have a lot of traffic and anything is possible when you leave your vehicle for such a long period of time.
